Re: Bad connection at night

Same problem except that it happens in the afternoon around 2:30 pm., and my problem is that I lose connection all the way and I just end up shutting down my computer. I just started with Comcast about 3 weeks ago and had no problems at all till this last week. Called and talked to the folks and they tried to get me back up, sometime it worked. 2 days ago the person that I talked to was hard to understand and went thought all the same stuff, and in the end said that they would send out a tech. because they thought that it was my computer and browser ( I use Firefox and Thunderbird). She said that I needed to clear all my cookies and history, because she thought that I didn't have enough memory. I said that I have done that and could not understand why everything worked great in the morning till 2pm!!

I just bought a new modem (Motorola SB 6120) and as I said no problems with anything till this last week.

I just dumped Qwest because when at around 11 am Monday thru Friday, my speed would go down to nothing. This went on for about a month, and they said it was not their problem, but the people I talked to said that it was line overloading that made since.

So does anyone know what should be done? Did have set up a tech for this Sunday, but my wife and I just got a cold and didn’t think that that would not work. I still don't know if it is overloaded line problems that they said wasn’t there, and I have to try another internet provider.
